Recipes – Appetizers
Below are some great appetizers ideas. I always like to throw a little spice into the first course, so don’t be surprised if these recipes pack a little heat.
Voodoo Jerk Chicken Wings

Four Roses Bourbon “Wildcat” Blue Cheese Ball
- 8oz Stilton bleu cheese
- 4oz cream cheese (softened)
- 4 T unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 T Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
- 1 C whipping cream
- 1 C toasted pecans or walnuts, crushed
Place the cheeses and butter in a food processor and mix until well blended. Add bourbon and continue to mix. In a separate bowl, whip the cream stiff peaks begin to form, then stir in 1/4 of the whipped cream. Process with the cheese mixture until incorporated then add the rest of the whipped cream. To toast the nuts spread a single layer on a large sheet pan and toast in a 350 degree oven for approx. 10 minutes (don’t let them burn). Add to cooled nuts to the cheese mixture, form into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Serve with crackers or fruit slices such as pears and apples.
